Six Mile Lake – Muskoka

Six Mile Lake is a very popular lake in southwest Muskoka.

There are several access points to the lake off highway 400

and the vast majority of the cottages on the lake are road access.

It is only 1 hour and 30 minutes north of Highways 407 and 400.

This lake has many features including a waterfall, Whites Falls,

pictured above where Six Mile Lake flows into Gloucester Pool.

There is a water level control dam at this location that guarantees

a consistent water level throughout the year. The constant water

flow in and out of the lake ensures that the water quality is maintained.

Six Mile is home to a wide variety of water sports such as water skiing

and wake boarding as well as having one of the most popular canoe

routes in the area cross through the lake.

Winter is also a very popular winter activity on Six Mile with easy access

to the OFSC Trail system.
